Group Expense app good for
Needed an App that can record the Group Expenses and that could be paid by different persons within the group. It helps maintain the tally and send out a beautiful spreadsheet to everyone in the group.
The only problem I have now is that it doesnt record the date of the transaction. Other than this, two thumbs up for this App. :)
I needed to track shared expenses on our current trip to Europe, and this was the best of the bunch I downloaded.
I upgraded to unlimited events, on the iPhone no premium option existed.
Better if have the function of taking picture of the receipt. Good app in general.
Ive been using Group Expense for several of my trips over the years, and find it excellent for planing trips (combining info with "Tripit".)
This is a great App for one person to keep track all of the expenses paid by one person and dividing it up fairly between the other travellers with yourself.
This App is easy to use, and very customizable with currency exchanges.
I give this App a 11 out of 10
I only wish I could delete old trips!!!
This app is great for dividing up expenses. Especially the free version. The update caused a little confusion but Im working out the kinks, I think.
Some bad moments
does a really good job. just missing the possibility to go to an event from balances view (it shows how much a person has to pay for an event but in order to see event details you have to go back and manually search for the event...) - add this and I will add a missing star :)
unfortunately the app crashes on event removal - 2 stars are gone.
Nicely laid out, but few bugs in system. Doesnt save date even when save button pressed. When trying to delete events, returns you to the IPhone home page. Unless bugs can be fixed, might try to find another program that works smoothly.
The app is Ok. But lacks feature to delete my unwanted events and contacts. And also it will be good if email support is enabled for individual bills. Say if everyone paid and only one persons payment is pending for one transaction. I would like to just send email to that person for that one transaction alone instead of sending whole list again.
Nicest interface of all of the "expense sharing" apps I have tested. I like the format of the email that is generated to settle the outstanding debts. I emailed customer support about adding a few features and received a quick and helpful reply. They are planning to add one of my requests (payment line item detail in the email to match the detailed listing of expenses) in February (2011) and said they will look into adding my other suggestions (they were minor). I havent use the app in a live situation yet, but created an extensive "mock" event while playing around with it Great app at a great price. I will come back and update my review after my first live use of the app and will update to five stars after the payment detail is added.
Update: the February update brought the promised changes. Moves it from four stars to five.
This is just the app I was looking for to handle my bills and expenses amongst my roommates!!!
Does what it says. More features will push it to perfection. Very pleased.
